NetBase is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Cisco Systems, Inc., any Cisco subsidiary, or any other vendor referenced in the product. Any compatibility or interoperability with Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, or hardware is the result of public documentation and community reverse engineering — nothing more.

Source, licensing, and self-hosting
NetBase is available as an open-source project at
github.com/tawfekk/netbase. The
repository’s LICENSE file is the authoritative statement of the terms under which
you may use, modify, and redistribute the code.
You are welcome to self-host NetBase. When you do, you operate the service and are responsible for its availability, the data it stores, and its compliance with any laws that apply in your jurisdiction. Follow the guide at SELFHOSTING.md for the current setup steps.
The hosted service
The hosted instance at console.netbaseapp.com is operated by the NetBase team on a
best-effort basis and offered free of charge. There is no service-level agreement
and availability is not guaranteed. We run it because we want you to be able to try the product
without installing anything — but for mission-critical use, self-host it.
The hosted instance is provided as is and as available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the NetBase team disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Deploys you initiate from NetBase are executed against your own devices; you are responsible for reviewing the Deploy Review diff before pressing Deploy.
Responsible use
Don’t use NetBase to:
- Access devices you are not authorised to reach.
- Violate the terms of service of any network you operate on.
- Distribute malware, spam, or unlawful content through the platform.
- Attempt to compromise the integrity of the hosted backend or other users’ projects.
We reserve the right to terminate access to the hosted instance for accounts that violate the above.
Intellectual-property complaints
If you believe content made available through NetBase infringes a copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property right, please write to [email protected] with enough detail to identify the content, the right being asserted, and your contact information. We will respond promptly.
